Polls Say Biden Won the VP Debate »
Posted By capj71 1 month, 2 weeks ago in NewsTwo polls, one of uncommitted voters done by CBS, and one of debate watchers done by CNN say that Joe Biden won the debate against Sarah Palin. However it seems that the debate neither helped nor hurt either campaign.

The bar was so low for Palin at the debate that if she just showed up and made no "deer in headlights" blunder, the right would see it as a win for her. But it was a disappointment that she would not follow the rules of debate and answer the questions posed to her. It seemed whenever she was presented with a question she could not answer or elaborate about she went off on a tangent and talked about another topic.

Biden on the other hand tried to answer every question the moderator asked. He was low keyed except when refuting some of the claims Palin made. He was also very informed about the issues. Yes I thought he won the debate but Palin won the "Joe-Six-Pack" popularity contest. -

Joe Biden was the winner the debate, I felt sorry for him AS
he in his accomplished, well led life had to try to debate an airhead who thiks its cute to be a pitbull and already defying all the rules of debate. Come on America lets send these MAVERICKS PACKING AND LETS GE ON TO A BETTER AMERICA, GO DEMOCRATS!!!! -

Biden didn't lose the debate. The only thing Sarah got the edge on was looks because every independent poll says Biden won. All the right wing nuts are posting are conservative articles written by right wing nuts.

We already are, courtesy of george the bush. Dang I wish I could send my portion of the bill to one of the morons who voted for this mess. A 10 TRILLION dollar national debt! My gawd, what were people thinking to vote for republicans? Deregulation that brought us to our knees! 3/4 of a million jobs lost this year. Poverty levels increasing. A piece of sh*t dept. of "homeland" security that is so bloated with $$$ it doesn't know what to do with itself. States rights in the toilet (you do know that george stopped all fifty states attorney generals from investigating predatory lenders?) Our Constitution trashed.

Palin will fade in the sunset of Alaska after this is over and maybe she'll have time to go to the western island of Alaska where she can see Russia because one thing is certain, she lied., She has never been to the island because the people said she wasn't.

My mother felt sorry for Palin when she was asked a question she couldn't answer and said she wouldn't answer it the way she was expected to. My mother wanted to get up and help her, but when Palin kept winking even my helpful mom had enough of Palin.

Palin didn't stand a chance against Biden, who remained a Gentleman even when Palin was aggressively rude. I am glad Biden was so professional towards this clueless woman.-

Biden did the right thing. If he would have attacked her on some of her comments it would have turn people the other way. His strategy of attacking McCain was the right option where her smiling/winking turned off many as flirtatious.

I think the question were prearranged and they were able to come up with the answers through research. To me that is not a good way to have a debate.

You could laugh it off if it wasn't such a serious issue but there is too much at stake here. The price of fuel has tripled while this administration has stirred up unrest in the middle east to drive the price of oil crude even higher. People are losing their homes because of higher bills and lower earnings and they want to bail out the people that caused this mess.

The only thing Palin could had won was a six pack of budweiser. this woman has no class. this was supposed to be a debate in recovering from the mess we are in. she dodged all of the important questions and responded with a Bush smirk and a wink. Biden wins by landslide on this one..

Not only as a candidate,but as a journalism major, she should have known the rules of debate. She, apparently, does not know how an interview is conducted. She claims she did badly in the interviews, especially Couric's because she wanted to speak to America and let them know her views. Huh. . .I didn't know that's how you handle an interview. I should ignore the questions and say what I want (in Palin's case) which was gibberish. Debate and interview platforms are not for you to espouse your agenda and views. You can do that with your advertising and statements or videotaped orations or speeches on the Republican pulpit. She really unnerves me!
